January 20, 2020 Art-o-polis…all art, all day
Spend the day exploring how art and science are related…come get messy and have a blast. For some of our creations we will be incorporating a variety of materials that would likely be discarded, and using them in various ways to teach the kids a wide array of disciplines including science, physics, engineering and problem solving.
February 21, 2020 May the FORCE be with you…
In a galaxy not so far away . . . students learn Jedi lessons and fulfill their destiny. Students will begin the day as Padawans, preparing to begin their Jedi training. Throughout the day, Padawans are challenged through daily Star Wars activities. They will explore the science of being a Jedi while they even get to create their very own planet! They will discover the force within, through teamwork, confidence building exercises, and decision-making games.
“May the force be with you!”
March 16, 2020 That is WEIRD Science!
Did you know that: Almonds are members of the peach family? Dinosaurs were unable to stick out their tongues? Strawberries and raspberries are actually not berries? What?? Does your child love to learn about weird things? If so, this lab is for them! We will explore why our feet can get stinky, why insects can walk on water, how snakes can see you with their eyes closed, and lots of bizarre other facts!
